Creative Colors: Roberto Capucci

As a fashion/arts blogger, I hate to/have to admit that I had never heard of Italian fashion designer Roberto Capucci until today. I'm thrilled to have discovered his work, even if a bit late.

Born in Rome in1930, Capucci attended school in his hometown at the Accademia delle Belle Arti. Inspired by nature, art, and architecture, he is known for his use of unexpected odd materials, delightfully vibrant colors, and incredibly creative silouhettes,

Dubbed the "Givenchy of Rome" by fashion writer Alison Adburgham, Capucci's work was greatly admired by Christian Dior. He often shied away from publicity and news of his shows was usually kept silent. All of his pieces are one of a kind.
