Writing has been a passion/love of mine since middle school. Besides rockin' out as one of The Bangles, it's all I've ever wanted to do for a living. So far, blogging is not paying the bills, or do I ever think it will, at least it's provided me a creative outlet I wouldn't have otherwise.

I started blogging in December of 2009 on Wordpress as Bella Fashion & Beauty. It had a super simple blue and pink design. My first blog post had no words really, it was sort of a test, just a video of model Irina Lazareanu's "Strange Places." A song she co-wrote with Sean Lennon for a still unreleased album that I believe was to be titled "Some place along the way."  But anyway, I digress. I soon realized that I didn't want to limit the blog simply to fashion or reviews of beauty products, so I changed the name to Bella Fashion & the Arts, to encompass a wider variety of topics. I recently moved the blog to Blogspot, but since I invested so much time on the Wordpress blog, I left it up as an archive, which can be viewed here. I also have a secondary mini-blog on tumblr called Ampersand.

Despite my love of fashion, I am not a label whore by any means. While I appreciate (and blog about)designer brands like Alexander McQueen or Anna Sui, I also admire (and blog about) independent designers such as those who sell on Etsy. I live for art and music, and truly can't - or don't want- to imagine a world without either.

Over time, I hope to incorporate more articles, interviews, and fashion show reviews, and I'd like to feature more of my own photographs. I'm excited about the blog, I think the possibilities for it are endless.
